Two treatment pathways
Whatever brought you here, the path forward may look different depending on how long it's been going on
Acute pain
Acute pain treatment focuses on tissue healing, load management, and restoring normal movement patterns. Interventions may include manual therapy, targeted exercise, soft tissue management, and advice on pacing.
The aim is to reduce pain, support recovery, and prevent compensatory patterns from developing — and to get you back to your chosen activity or sport.
Persistent pain treatment focuses on the neurobiological, psychological, and behavioural factors that maintain symptoms. Treatment may include pain science education, nervous system regulation strategies, graded exposure to movement, and addressing beliefs or behaviours that reinforce sensitivity.
The aim is to reduce threat perception, improve self-efficacy, and support a return to meaningful function as well as your chosen activity or sport.
In both cases, treatment is collaborative, evidence informed and tailored to your goals.
